Hi, I'm Katie, and I'm here to tell you about my book, The Other World.
The Other World is a story about 15-year-old Martha, a teen genius who believes only in hard facts and scientific
proof. Except one thing. She believes in another world.
The story begins with Martha, having finally completed the UniPortal 2000, entering the other world.
Within the first five days, Martha is attacked by a starnge horse-like creature called a halkon, knocked unconscious
for four days, kidnapped by soldiers, then rescued by her true love, Edmund.
Edmund is part of a resistence army that is trying to gain religious freedom for the planet's Christians.
The planet of Kartloy is ruled by eleven sisters. ten of them rule large provinces, while the eldest rules supreme over
her sisters.
Those who are not Christians worship the Holy Pig. Any insult to the Holy Pig is worthy of death by beheading.
The Other World is part one of a trilogy which will be entitled Kartloy. I hope to be done with the book
by this September.
